Overview

The Department of Health and Human Services and the United States Department of Agriculture jointly released the new Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The USDA also released a new Food Guidance System, MyPyramid, which translates the Dietary Guidelines into a comprehensive new graphic and a personalized web site, www.mypyramid.gov.

Building upon the established scope of MyPyramid, MatchPoint Marketing has customized and packaged it in a way that takes MyPyramid from an abstract, academic message and makes it part of life and the everyday grocery shopping experience.

To bring the GMA/FPA and FMI initiative to life, the single unifying message, Take a Peak, is being employed to challenge the typical shopper to take a closer look at MyPyramid.

• It entices consumers, retailers and manufacturers to take a closer look at MyPyramid.
